Joel Secter B.A., LL.B.
 

Joel Secter is a recent graduate of the University of Ottawa and has previous experience in dealing with tax and charity matters. Prior to earning his LL.B., Joel pursued a career in film,  becoming an award-winning director. His documentary The Best of Secter & The Rest of Secter tells the story of David Secter - Canada's indie film pioneer - and appeared on the Sundance Channel, Independent Film Channel and CBC. With a B.A. in Spanish, Joel has traveled from Mexico to Chile and Cuba to Spain. He is the Past-President of the Board of Directors of Garderie Bernadette Child Care Centre, providing child care to the University of Ottawa and surrounding community. Joel was born and raised in Winnipeg.
